Terms and Conditions

1. Tutoring sessions are conducted virtually using Facetime, Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, Etc.

2. The hourly session fee is $40 as of January 1, 2022.  The price of the tutoring session is subject to change without notice.

3. Tutoring Session fees may be paid by Credit or Debit Card via the educationbydesign.net website. A valid Credit/Debit card must be entered at the time of scheduling, but billing will only occur at close of business on the day of the scheduled appointment. You will have the option of paying in advance at the time of appointment scheduling if you so choose.

4. Each session is scheduled for the duration of one hour. If available, multiple sessions can be scheduled concurrently if more time is needed. It is imperative to join the virtual meeting on time, as sessions cannot be extended past your appointed one-hour block. 

5. Cancellation/No-Show Policy: 

· If you are unable to attend your scheduled tutoring session, you must reschedule or cancel the appointment no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled session. 

· Rescheduling and cancellations can be made via the educationbydesign.net website or by following the link attached to your confirmation email. 

· Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the session will result in a Cancellation/No Show charge equal to the amount of your scheduled appointment. 

· In the event of Service Outages (Internet Service, Power, etc.), affecting either party, the tutoring session will be rescheduled as soon as possible at no cost. Please notify the tutor as soon as possible to avoid the Cancellation/ No-Show fees. 

6. Cancellations by Tutor: Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, a session must be cancelled. Students will be notified by the tutor as early as possible. There will be no charge for the appointed session if this occurs. If possible, the session will be rescheduled.

7. Inclement Weather Policy: 

· Tutoring sessions are scheduled to occur, even during periods of inclement weather. Unless notified by the tutor, the session will take place. If you are unable to attend the session, please refer to the Cancellation and No-Show Policies.

· In the event of Service Outages (Internet Service, Power, etc.), affecting either party, the tutoring session will be rescheduled as soon as possible at no cost. 

8. Education By Design will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Spring Break (to be determined each year), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas Break (the week of Christmas and the week following Christmas).
